Engagement Overview
Adverttu, a London-based digital advertising company (later rebranded as Drovo), was referred to Everyday Communications by Community Fibre in 2021 to design and deliver a high-performance VoIP connectivity solution.
Operating from a shared office environment with pre-existing broadband services, Adverttu required a secure, independent, and high-quality voice solution that could operate without dependence on the building’s internal network.
Through a combination of 5G technology, encrypted VPN integration, and Cisco enterprise equipment, Everyday Communications delivered a next-generation telephony solution designed for performance, flexibility, and resilience, demonstrating innovation in converged connectivity.
Business Challenge
Adverttu faced a unique infrastructure constraint:
Their shared office space prevented the installation or provisioning of dedicated broadband circuits.
This environment introduced the following challenges:
- Restricted connectivity options due to shared infrastructure and building policies.
- Lack of network isolation, raising concerns around security and traffic prioritisation.
- Potential for degraded call quality under shared bandwidth conditions.
- Need for rapid deployment without reliance on third-party building IT teams.
To overcome these barriers, Adverttu needed a standalone, secure, and resilient voice network that could be deployed independently from its office provider’s infrastructure without compromising performance.
Our Approach
Everyday Communications developed a 5G-enabled connectivity overlay that combined cellular flexibility with enterprise-grade encryption and QoS.
The engagement was executed across four structured delivery pillars:
Design & Architecture
- Designed a dedicated 5G-based WAN independent of shared office networks.
- Architected a Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) tunnel to Everyday Communications’ core data centre for secure backhaul.
- Defined a SIP trunking architecture for high-quality VoIP connectivity.
- Selected Cisco enterprise-grade hardware for stability, QoS, and remote manageability.
Pre-Staging & Configuration
- Preconfigured all devices within the EDC lab environment.
- Applied end-to-end encryption and SIP security profiles.
- Conducted call-quality testing and stress simulations prior to dispatch.
On-Site Implementation & Testing
- Deployed a Cisco 5G router at Adverttu’s premises.
- Coordinated with field engineers for physical installation.
- Verified RSSI signal strength to ensure optimal 5G coverage and call reliability.
- Installed and tested Cisco IP phones, validating SIP registration and end-to-end call quality.
Handover & Support Transition
- Conducted customer acceptance testing (CAT) and service handover.
- Delivered full documentation, including configuration backups and signal metrics.
- Provided post-installation support via Everyday Communications’ service desk.
Strategic Value Added
Everyday Communications delivered tangible value through technical innovation and strategic execution:
- Independence from shared infrastructure: Delivered a fully isolated 5G network, ensuring performance and control.
- Security & Resilience: Implemented encrypted VPN backhaul for secure voice data transmission.
- Rapid Deployment: Delivered end-to-end implementation within a compressed delivery cycle.
- Quality Assurance: Achieved consistent voice quality through intelligent QoS and bandwidth management.
- Partnership Synergy: Collaborated with Community Fibre and Adverttu to deliver a seamless, multi-party solution.
Key Results & Outcomes
- Achieved stable, high throughput 5G connectivity with zero dependency on shared LANs.
- Delivered enterprise-grade VoIP services via secure SIP trunking and encrypted tunnels.
- Completed deployment, testing, and sign-off on schedule and without service interruption.
- Established a repeatable deployment model for future small-office VoIP implementations.
- Received positive client feedback on delivery precision and voice performance.
Strategic Impact
Although Adverttu (later rebranded as Drovo) has since ceased operations, this engagement showcased Everyday Communications’ ability to engineer secure, adaptive, and high-performing solutions in constrained environments.
By leveraging 5G as a backbone for enterprise VoIP, Everyday Communications demonstrated that next-generation communication services can be delivered anywhere without physical infrastructure limitations.
