Engagement Overview
Everyday Communications partnered with BT Global Services as a specialist subcontractor to deliver enterprise-grade network and telephony transformation for two global accounts — Boots and Alliance Healthcare.
The engagement required deep collaboration with BT’s delivery and programme management teams to support large-scale IT transformation initiatives across multiple sites.
Challenge
Both Boots and Alliance Healthcare were operating on legacy ISDN30 telephony and fragmented network infrastructure that limited scalability, cost efficiency, and integration with emerging collaboration platforms.
The transformation needed to modernise the voice and data environment through a seamless migration to a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) platform — ensuring business continuity, minimal disruption, and alignment with each organisation’s digital roadmap.
Our Role & Approach
Everyday Communications was engaged to lead critical elements of the migration and transformation, providing:
Technical Programme Leadership – Aligning with BT’s enterprise delivery model to translate customer business requirements into detailed technical migration plans.
Network and Telephony Migration Delivery – Executing site migrations from ISDN30 to SIP-based infrastructure using Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Transformation Governance – Coordinating with BT and customer stakeholders to ensure risk mitigation, structured change control, and zero-impact migration execution.
Strategic Communication – Acting as the single point of contact for BT, ensuring transparency and alignment across engineering, project management, and customer teams.
Execution & Delivery
Developed a detailed migration framework across multiple UK and European locations.
Conducted network readiness assessments and configuration validation.
Oversaw implementation of SIP trunks and CUCM platform integration.
Delivered user acceptance testing, change windows, and post-migration validation.
Ensured alignment with strict service-level agreements and compliance policies.

Conclusion
Everyday Communications’ partnership with BT demonstrated the company’s ability to deliver complex, multi-site IT transformation projects at an enterprise level.
By combining network engineering expertise, programme governance, and customer-first collaboration, the project not only modernised Boots’ and Alliance Healthcare’s infrastructure but also laid the foundation for scalable digital communications across both organisations.
